Over the course of eight weeks, I served as a Design Lead for GreenSight through Cal Poly Iter8, where I guided the end-to-end redesign of their Quoting Tool platform. Following the project, I continued working with GreenSight alongside Sophia Levin (my co!) to design their Scan-for-Value mobile app during the summer, expanding on our previous work to create a cohesive product ecosystem.
What is GreenSight?
GreenSight is an AI-powered tech company offering electronic device quoting and management tools to scan, price, and resell used electronics, supporting a more sustainable resale market.

Project Goals
Quoting Tool
(Web Platform Redesign)
Build a design system flexible enough to scale with GreenSight’s product suite
Scan-for-Value
(Mobile App Design)
Support both desktop web and mobile-first use cases
Current Design - New Quote Flow
GreenSight tasked us to redesign their quoting platform to look and feel more modern, sleek, and technologically advanced. The goal is to move away from a plain, internal-tool aesthetic to a visually impressive, user-friendly experience that appeals to both internal and external users.
For a company trying to attract external clients beyond internal users, the plain, utilitarian aesthetic didn't inspire confidence in GreenSight's AI-powered technology
Understanding the existing workflow revealed patterns of disruption
We started by mapping the current quote flow to identify friction points. Walking through every step, we noticed almost every action pulled users away from their work.

Many parts of the flow looked identical, and every action resulted in a pop-up, which could potentially be confusing and unintuitive for users.
New Quote Flow
Every time a user needed to add a new item or set a price, they had to leave the main table, open another screen, and then come back again. It felt repetitive and disruptive, especially since quoting is all about speed and accuracy.

I introduced the idea of a sidebar being implemented into the flow, which simplified the process by:
Reducing repetitive clicks and page transitions
Letting users stay anchored in the main quote table
Creating a smoother, more intentional rhythm in the quoting workflow

Updated New Quote Flow

We established a design system early on to keep the team efficient and consistent
This helped us to iterate on designs quickly quickly and begin prototyping. Since we didn’t have a large amount of screens to design, there were a lot of tiny interactions we had to consider to ensure that the experience was comprehensive and intuitive

Refreshed Design System
Reimagined GreenSight's original branding to look more aesthetically pleasing while still being flexible enough to scale with GreenSight’s future product suite
Set Pricing
Users can now complete entire quotes without losing sight of their work, maintaining context with the expandable side bar, while performing all necessary actions in a single, consistent location.
Review Quote
Final step in completing a quote, including last minute editing capabilities and a PDF preview. A final review step shows all quote details with last minute editing capabilities and PDF preview. This reduces errors and give technicians more control over final output.
Dashboard
Technicians can view their overall stats with customizable widgets -> from environmental impact to units/hr trackers, letting them optimize for different goals
Creating a web and mobile version for Scan-For-Value
GreenSight's Scan-For-Value tool is meant for help technicians make smarter decisions at the point of intake by combining device identification and pricing.

Adding to the existing web product suite
We began by designing the web version first. Even though the product is primarily mobile-focused, the web app needed to integrate seamlessly with GreenSight’s existing product suite and give admins full visibility into user activity.

Web Platform for Administrative Oversight
The web version provides:
Comprehensive dashboard of all scanning activity
User management and session history
Integration with the Quoting Tool for seamless workflow continuation
Scan Flow for Mobile
With the web experience complete, I refined the same flows for mobile to support the product’s primary use case and ensure a consistent experience across both platforms.
