ContraPill is a dedicated birth control tracker designed for WatchOS, providing a streamlined and convenient solution for women utilizing oral contraceptive pills.
With the help of Contra the Pill, this app provides a valuable companion for women navigating the complexities of birth control pill management.
By combining user-friendly design with time-based effectiveness calculations, the app aims to empower women to take control of their reproductive health with confidence and ease.

Scoping competitors in the current market
While there are many period-focused apps like Flo, Ease, and Clue, the niche for birth control pill managment/reminder apps is relatively underdeveloped. Most existing apps cater broadly to menstrual cycles or general health tracking
While apps like Flo and Clue offer broad health tracking, ContraPill is the first WatchOS app dedicated exclusively to birth control management, combining wearable tech integration, gamification, and an approachable design to make pill-taking a breeze.
Solutions I wanted to implement:
Emotional Connection
Other applications feel cold and overly medical → turns habit tracking into something felt, not recorded
Smarter Reminders
App tracks pill-taking habits and give a “protection confidence score” based on consistency → feel informed, not anxious
Apple Watch Integration
Utilizes Apple Watch as primary touchpoint → allowing for discrete and quick interactions

In adherence to the watchOS app standards, I used the SF Compact Rounded font against a dark background. Vibrant colors were incorporated to ensure visibility and attract the user's attention effectively on the compact screen.
