Overview

"For The Love of Type" is a collaborative project by students in my Type II class, celebrating typography and typeface design. Each student researched a 21st-century typeface, providing information and visual analysis in their section. The combined efforts resulted in the creation of this book.

For Volume I, I designed the cover, front matter, and end matter. I selected to research and design spreads based on the typeface Swear, designed by James Edmondson from OhNo Type Foundry (and one of my favorite serif fonts). The typeface is inspired by the twists of flat brush calligraphy.
