Overview
This is a reimagined brand concept and accompanying design solution of San Jose’s Children’s Discovery Museum. While keeping all the current exhibits, I wanted to refresh the museum’s identity to better showcase their core values of creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
The objective of the rebranding initiative was to integrate the concepts of creativity, curiosity, and lifelong learning. This involved creating a new logo, implementing a revamped business system, and developing various applications such as a redesigned website and posters.
WHERE DID “THE LITTLE DUCKLING” COME FROM?
The Children's Discovery Museum has always had a giant inflatable rubber duck on their roof. Although it wasn’t associated with their current branding, I've only seen children refer to it as the “duck museum“ when passing by.
The name "Little Duckling" just makes official what children already knew, and perfectly captures how their young visitors, like ducklings, explore their world with natural curiosity.
